I have graduated.
I have written my thank you notes.
I have painted my sister's last year's Christmas present.
I have studied a zillion hours (ok, probably like 50) for the board exam. And if you know me, this is more than I studied in any semester of OT school.
I have looked at the boxes I need to pack.
I have found people who will use my Indian spices when I'm gone.
I have sold my straightener.
I have posted my car on Craigslist, in case my friend doesn't buy it.
I have made a list of things I need/want in India
I have finished one of two projects for work.
I have made a list of way to many things I need/want to do before leaving, and the 3 bazillion people I need to see.
I have temporarily given up running, in preparation for not being able to in India, anyways.
I have not worried about the ants in my bathroom because, hey, I'll be in Africa in 22 days....what's a couple of ants?
I have gotten tan and mildly sunburned from my only 2013 weekend at the lake.
I have talked to my friends from Hyderabad and they're searching around for family members with whom I can live.
I have mentally priced everything I own and have tried to sell 50% of it.
I know these next 21 days are going to go WAY too quickly, especially as I only have 1.5 more weeks at my internship at the hospital, and there are going to be 100 petty things that won't get done before the day I leave. (Hopefully not my niece's birth...) I want the days to move at a snail's pace.
But at the same time, I cannot help but daydream about lying next to my ornery, giggly, sweaty, coconut-oil-smelling 3 year old (3!!!) baby girl in her naptime and just being in my own little bit of heaven...and it's hard for me not to wish these days to speed by.
